Electro Homeopathy, developed by Count Cesare Mattei of Bologna, Italy in the 19th century, is a completely plant-based system of medicine. Our trust is committed to preserving, teaching, and spreading this natural healing tradition so that more Indians can access safe, affordable, and effective alternative medicine.
Through our correspondence-based BEMS, DEMS, and CEH programs, we have empowered over 5,000 students from 28+ states across India to build careers in natural medicine — without needing to leave their homes or cities.

History of Electro Homeopathy in India
Count Cesare Mattei (1809–1896) of Bologna, Italy, developed the system of Electro Homeopathy in the latter half of the 19th century. Inspired by the electromagnetic properties of plants, Mattei believed that specific plant extracts could restore harmony between the two fundamental body fluids — blood (the vital fluid) and lymph (the nutritional fluid).
Mattei formulated a range of medicines — called Electricità (for blood-related diseases), Canceroso (for lymph-related conditions), Scrofoloso, Angiotico, Febrifugo and more — all prepared from specially selected medicinal plants using a unique process that he believed captured their "electrical" or vital energy.
Electro Homeopathy arrived in India during British rule and found widespread acceptance among the population seeking natural, affordable alternatives to conventional medicine. Over the decades, practitioners of Electropathy established themselves across North India, particularly in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Rajasthan, Delhi, and Madhya Pradesh.
Today, Electro Homeopathy has a significant following in India, with thousands of practitioners serving rural and urban populations alike. MATTIE Trust India is committed to formalizing this education and creating a structured pathway for students who wish to study and practice this noble healing art.
